The base fabric is the Fine Water-Repellent Fabric - Storm, a technical textile composed of 100% polyester, with a weight of 70 gr/m2 and a width of 145 cm. This fabric has a waterproof and water-repellent finish, and a thin, smooth texture to the touch. The solid color printed on this fabric is Burgundy Red, with a ink combination of Cyan 16, Magenta 98, Yellow 71, and Black 6, resulting in a CMYK value of 16 98 71 6. This secondary color is intense, deep, and elegant, and pairs very well with neutral tones such as white or black, and also with other softer reds and pinks.
It is important to mention that this fabric is printed with the solid color on one side only using digital textile printing, which means it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. This gives the fabric the advantage of having a clear and sharp design for a long time, as the color will not fade or wear out over time.
The general characteristics of the base fabric and the solid color are very interesting. On one hand, we have a technical fabric that is perfect for uses such as fashion jackets, shower curtains, and sports raincoats. On the other hand, the burgundy red color printed on this fabric is very versatile and elegant, making it ideal for clothing and home textiles.
Continuing with the attributes of the base fabric, we can highlight its varied applications and uses for fashion, home, and sports. In fashion, this fabric is perfect for creating jackets with an elegant and waterproof finish, perfect for rainy winter days. In the home, it can be used to create shower curtains with vibrant and durable designs. For sports, this fabric is ideal for creating raincoats and sports jackets that protect the athlete from rain and cold.
Regarding the care instructions for this type of fabric, it is important to follow the provided guidelines to ensure the longevity of the fabric. It should not be bleached, the maximum washing temperature is 40ºC, it cannot be dry cleaned, and it can be ironed at a cool temperature. Additionally, it is not recommended to tumble dry this fabric.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which is a process that allows colors to be more durable and resistant to washing and exposure to sunlight. In this process, the design is first printed on transfer paper and then transferred to the fabric through a process of heat and pressure.
