The base fabric is a Fine Water-Repellent Fabric - Storm, made of 100% polyester, with a weight of 70 gr/m2 and a width of 145 cm. Its plain color is Lagoon Blue, with an ink content of 75 Cyan, 33 Magenta, 43 Yellow, and 18 Black. This secondary color evokes the serenity and calmness of crystal-clear water, making it suitable for home and bathroom textiles. Lagoon Blue pairs perfectly with light shades, such as white and gray, and with other cool colors, such as aqua green and turquoise.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the plain color on one side only using digital textile printing, which means it is a printed fabric, not dyed, and the color only appears on one side of the fabric. Its finish is waterproof and water-repellent, making it an ideal fabric for crafting sportswear for water activities. Furthermore, its texture is thin and smooth, giving it an elegant appearance.
Regarding the applications and uses of the base fabric, it can be used in fashion, home textiles, and sports. In fashion, this fabric is suitable for making both mens and womens jackets, while in home textiles, it can be used for shower curtains due to its impermeability. For sports use, this fabric is ideal for raincoats and jackets or blousons. Additionally, due to its weight and composition, it is a suitable fabric for use in the winter season.
Concerning the care of the fabric, it is important to note that it is not suitable for bleaching or dry cleaning. It is recommended to wash it at maximum temperatures of 40ºC and iron it at a cool temperature. Also, tumble drying is not recommended.
Finally, this fabric is manufactured using sublimation printing technology, which involves applying heat and pressure to transfer the inks to the fabric in gas form, resulting in more intense and long-lasting colors than conventional dyeing.
