The base fabric is a 220 gr/m2 polyester lycra called Cairo. The printed design is characterized by a modern art style with marble texture and a predominance of multicolored colors. This design combines very well with solid colors such as white, black, and navy blue. It is important to mention that the fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side by digital textile printing.
The texture of the fabric is soft to the touch but also elastic, which makes it perfect for sportswear, lingerie, tops, bikinis, and swimsuits. In addition, it is chlorine resistant and has a very high UV protection factor of 50+. On the other hand, the printed design has a modern style and a marble look that gives an elegant touch to the garments made.
Cairo fabric is ideal for timeless seasonal garments and its printing technology is sublimation (polyester). The applications and uses of this fabric are very wide and thanks to its composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane, it adapts perfectly to the body as well as being comfortable and breathable. It can be used especially for sportswear, from tops to leggings and other water garments. It is also ideal for swimsuits, due to its chlorine resistance and high sun protection factor.
It is important to mention that this fabric requires special care such as not bleaching, not tumble drying, and ironing at a cool temperature. It allows dry cleaning but trichloroethylene cannot be used. If these cares are followed, the fabric will maintain its quality and durability.
The printing technology with which this fabric is manufactured is sublimation, which consists of printing the design on paper which is then transferred to the fabric by heat and pressure. Sublimation is a very used printing technique in polyester fabrics and allows a great definition and durability of the printed design.
