Glasgow woolen fabric is a composite fabric made of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane, which gives it a soft touch. This fabric is ideal for making outerwear and blazers for men and women, as well as coasters and kitchen towels. The fabric has a weight of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm, making it perfect for the winter or autumn/winter 2021 season. Its printed design stands out for its spiral shapes, which are grouped in a modern art style with standard complexity. Its main colors are ForestGreen, Night black, and Deep sea green, so it combines perfectly with solid tones in black, brown, and green. It is important to mention that the fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side using digital textile printing.
Regarding its general characteristics, Glasgow woolen fabric has a great drape and is wear-resistant, making it an excellent option for outerwear. It is an easy-to-work-with and comfortable-to-wear fabric. For its part, the printed design adds a dose of originality to the Glasgow woolen fabric. In addition, its care is simple, as long as the washing and ironing recommendations are followed.
The applications and uses of this fabric are diverse. In addition to those mentioned previously, it is also suitable for making altars, jackets, and vests. Due to its composition and drape, it is also an interesting option for upholstery of seats or cushions.
Regarding care, it is advisable not to bleach and to wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. In addition, the garment does not allow dry cleaning and cannot be tumble dried. Ironing should be done at a warm temperature.
Finally, the printing technology used in this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which allows high-quality and highly detailed printing. This technique uses heat and pressure to fix the ink to the fabric in a durable way.
