Satin is a type of fabric characterized by its sheen and soft texture. The Satin - Amsterdam fabric is a 120 gr/m2 polyester satin, 150 cm wide, which can be used in various fashion garments and lingerie such as shirts, blouses, jumpsuits, skirts, trousers, tops, scarves, pyjamas, dresses, kimonos, and wedding dresses. In addition, it features a printed design of vectorial and artistic style sunflowers in multi-colour, which is printed on one side using sublimation technology.
The design of the Satin - Amsterdam fabric is a symbolic and technical combination of textures and colours that represent the natural beauty of sunflowers. Its design is composed of artistic vectorial patterns that merge into a vibrant and colourful image. The predominant colours in this design are multi-colour. Depending on the type of garment to be made, the Satin - Amsterdam fabric could be combined with plain colours in bright and dark tones, such as black, dark blue, cherry red, gold, or white.
The Satin - Amsterdam fabric is soft to the touch, shiny, and thin. Furthermore, it is easy to care for, as it can be washed in cold water without bleach, ironed at a warm temperature, dry-cleaned, and tumble-dried at a reduced temperature. Among its most outstanding applications and uses, we can find a wide variety of fashion garments and lingerie, due to its texture and shine characteristics. For example, it can be used in the making of blouses, skirts, trousers, tops, and accessories.
It is important to note that the Satin - Amsterdam fabric is printed on one side by digital textile printing, which means that the design is present only on one side of the fabric. To preserve the quality and colour of the design for longer, it is advisable to use mild detergents for delicate garments and not subject it to high temperatures in the washing machine or when ironing.
The printing technology used in the manufacture of the Satin - Amsterdam fabric is sublimation, which consists of transferring ink from special paper through heat and pressure to the polyester fabric. This process transforms the liquid ink into gas and then, upon cooling, into a solid, achieving high-quality printing with precise and colourful details, without wearing out over time or with repeated washes.
