Polyester Lycra Fabric - Nairobi is a stretchy and resistant fabric, composed of 82% polyester and 18% elastane, with a weight of 270 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The printed design it features combines a retro and botanical aesthetic, inspired by plants and flowers, with main colors in multicolor tones. This design can be combined with other plain colors such as black, white, yellow or blue. The fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side by digital textile printing.
The general characteristics that this fabric highlights are its elastic texture and its chlorine-resistant finish with very high UPF 50+ sun protection. Its printed design is inspired by nature, with details of plants, petals, flowers and with a retro style. The applications and uses of this fabric are varied, from lingerie and swimsuits to sports leggings. On the other hand, the care that this fabric needs is very simple, being necessary to avoid bleaching and tumble drying.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which allows direct printing of designs on any type of polyester fabric. In this process, the designs are printed on transfer paper, which is placed on a roll of fabric and subjected to high temperatures that cause the ink to volatilize and adhere permanently to the fabric. Thanks to this technology, the design printed on the fabric retains its luminosity and definition for a long period of time.
