The Polyester Lycra Fabric - Cairo 220 gr/m2 features a printed design that combines different styles and elements of nature. The main attributes of the design are its vintage character and botanical aesthetic, with a predominance of different types of flowers, from the most realistic to the most abstract, all with a predominance of green and orange colors. The design of this fabric is ideal for the production of swimwear, lingerie, and general fashion for women, men, and children alike.
The fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side, ensuring a high level of detail and great color fidelity. Lycra has its own characteristics such as elasticity and softness, which make it a very comfortable fabric to the touch and easy to handle when sewing. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UV protection factor (50+), which allows its use in both swimwear and sportswear.
Among the applications and uses for this fabric are, as we have already indicated, the production of swimsuits, bikinis, and sportswear in general. It is also ideal for making lingerie, bras, bralettes, and knitwear. Due to its texture and softness, it can be used for the production of tops and t-shirts. Other less conventional uses include the creation of scrunchies or hair ties.
Regarding the care instructions for this fabric, it is recommended to machine wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC and not to bleach it. Dry cleaning is possible, except with trichloroethylene, and ironing should be done at a low temperature. Tumble drying is not recommended.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which allows direct printing of the inks onto the lycra fiber. This process guarantees high quality in color reproduction and great durability over time without chipping or wear on the elasticity of the fabric.
