The base fabric we are discussing is Paño - Glasgow, which combines 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane, with a weight of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its soft touch makes it an ideal choice for winter or autumn/winter garments, such as coats, jackets, blazers, or cardigans, although it is also used for home textiles, such as coasters or kitchen towels. Its printed design, created using sublimation technology on polyester, features a simple home decoration style with a velvet texture in multicolor tones, which would combine very well with other plain dark green, navy blue, brown, and/or beige colors.
The combination of the fabrics softness with the velvet texture and the simplicity of the printed design makes it very suitable for a wide range of applications. In addition to those already mentioned, it could also be used for rugs or even as part of altar decorations. It is important to note that this fabric should be machine washed with water at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not use bleach or dry cleaning, iron at a warm temperature, and avoid tumble drying.
Finally, the printing technology used on this Glasgow fabric is sublimation, a technique that involves transferring ink from a printed transfer paper using heat and pressure, which fuses with the fabric to create a vibrant and durable design. It should be noted that the printing is done only on one side of the fabric.
