The base fabric is a polyester lycra called Nairobi, with a weight of 270 gr/m2 and a composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane. This fabric is very adaptable to the body and elastic, which makes it perfect for fitted garments such as lingerie, bodysuits, leotards or leggings. Its care is quite simple, it admits dry cleaning, low temperature ironing and can be machine washed but not at high temperatures. The printed design of this fabric is complex, with an abstract and decorative style with touches of modern art and tile, in intense and vibrant multi-color tones. This design is printed using sublimation technology, which makes it integrate into the fabric and last over time without fading easily.
The characteristics of this fabric are elastic, chlorine resistant and have a very high UV protection of +50. In addition, the texture and feel of the fabric are soft and pleasant to the touch of the skin. The single-sided printed design has great complexity, which gives it a very attractive and original aesthetic appearance. The multi-color combination can be combined with plain garments in dark tones such as black, navy blue or red, to further enhance the design.
Nairobi is a versatile fabric that can be used for various purposes. In addition to its application in fitted garments, it is also ideal for making chlorine-resistant swimsuits and bikinis. Its digital textile printing technology means there is no need to worry about the design appearing on the back of the fabric, as it is printed on one side.
It is important to consider the specific care of this fabric. Nairobi is not chlorine resistant, so the use of chemicals that may affect it should be avoided. In addition, it is important not to tumble dry and iron at a low temperature.
The printing technology used for Nairobi is sublimation. The process consists of printing a design on transfer paper using special inks. Heat and pressure are then applied to the fabric, and the inks transfer from the paper to the fabric in the form of vapor, penetrating the fibers and leaving a high-definition, quality print.
