The Lycra Polyester fabric - Nairobi is an elastic fabric with a soft texture, composed mostly of polyester and elastane. The printed design it features is of simple complexity and combines decorative elements with clear inspiration from nature, with stones as the main element. The vectorial pattern of the printed design gives it a bright and attractive touch, making it perfect for swimwear and sportswear. The main colors of the print are multicolored, which gives it great versatility to combine with different solid colors.
It should be noted that the fabric is single-sided printed using digital textile printing, which provides high image quality and vibrant colors. In addition, the fabric features general characteristics such as its elastic composition, chlorine resistance, and very high UV protection of factor 50+. This makes it an excellent material for making swimwear, lingerie, leggings, and sportswear.
Regarding the applications and uses of the fabric, we can say that it is mainly used for making swimwear and sportswear, although it can also be used for creating underwear and for fashion in general. The printing of the design on the fabric allows for the creation of unique and original garments, as they are often exclusive patterns that are difficult to replicate by hand.
As for the care required by the fabric, it is important not to bleach it and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. It can be dry cleaned except with trichloroethylene, and ironing should be at a cool temperature. Furthermore, it cannot be tumble dried.
Finally, the printing technology used for the manufacturing of this fabric is sublimation, a process that allows the transfer of ink from the printed design through heat and pressure onto the surface of the fabric, which gives it great durability and quality.
