The Athens Cotton-Feel Jersey Knit Fabric features a simple yet intricate printed design, inspired by photography and architecture, with brick shapes and a multicolor palette that adds a modern and vibrant touch to any sewing project. This design pairs perfectly with solid fabrics in shades of gray, white, black, or vivid colors like reds and yellows. The fabric is digitally printed on one side, ensuring excellent quality and definition in the details.
The fabrics texture is soft and elastic, making it a great choice for both apparel and home textiles, such as blankets and napkins. Additionally, its weight of 239 gr/m2 makes it ideal for the winter and autumn/winter 2021 season.
Among the applications and uses for this fabric are fashion garments for women and men, such as jerseys, tops, dresses, and cardigans, as well as lingerie, pajamas, and childrens knitwear. It is also ideal for making accessories like socks, scarves, and foulards. For home textiles, its a great option for making blankets for living rooms and bedrooms, as well as dining napkins.
To keep the fabric in optimal condition, its important to follow certain care recommendations, such as machine washing at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, avoiding bleach, not using a tumble dryer, and ironing at a low temperature.
The printing technology used for this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which allows the design to be permanently transferred to the fabric fibers, resulting in more intense and long-lasting colors. Thanks to this technology, the fabric can feature more complex and detailed designs compared to other textile printing methods.
