Recycled Lycra fabric is a soft and resistant elastic fabric, with a composition of 85% polyester and 15% elastane. This type of fabric is ideal for swimwear and sportswear such as bikinis and swimsuits, as well as for fashion accessories such as hair ties and scrunchies. In addition, it has GRS certification and is sustainable as it is recycled. The printed design of the fabric features a vector pattern of donuts in shades of purple jam, fox orange, and light orange, making it ideal for fun and youthful garments. It can be combined with plain fabrics in shades of purple, orange, and white to give the design a more sophisticated touch.
The fabric is printed with the patterned design on one side using digital textile printing, which makes it very easy to work with and manipulate. Its general characteristics include its soft and elastic texture, its chlorine resistance, and its very high UV protection factor of 50+. Thanks to its elasticity, it is also ideal for garments that require comfort in movement, as well as for garments that require a snug fit. The applications and uses of this fabric are very wide, including not only swimwear and sportswear, but also fashion garments such as dresses, skirts, and tops.
It is important to note that this fabric requires specific care, such as not bleaching, washing at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and ironing at a cold temperature, always avoiding the tumble dryer. Otherwise, the elastic fibers of the fabric could be damaged. Finally, the printing technology used in this fabric is polyester sublimation, which means that the design pigments are fixed directly into the fabric fibers and do not fade or crack over time.
