The base fabric for this piece is the Water-repellent Antibacterial Fabric - Tromso, a technical fabric made of 100% polyester with a weight of 160 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its printed design is characterized by standard complexity and falls within home decor and botanical styles. The design is inspired by floral nature, containing both pictorial and artistic flowers, as well as plant petals. Cotton white is the predominant color (66.98%), along with light pink (13.02%) and rose gold (11.61%) shades. In addition to these colors, the fabric can be combined with other plain colors such as green or orange to achieve different contrasts. The fabric is digitally textile printed with the design on one side, so it is important to note that it is a single-sided printed fabric.
Regarding general characteristics, the Water-repellent Antibacterial Fabric - Tromso has a waterproof finish that protects it against moisture, and it has a rough feel that gives texture to the fabric. In addition, it has an antibacterial finish that protects it against the accumulation of microorganisms and bacteria. In terms of applications and uses, this fabric is very versatile, as it can be used for both fashion (such as trousers, backpacks, or wallets) and home decoration (such as frames, paintings, or cushions). Furthermore, thanks to its water repellency, it is especially recommended for outdoor use, such as sun loungers or cushions for patios and terraces.
To care for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach it and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 60ºC. It can also be dry cleaned, except when using trichloroethylene, and ironed at a warm temperature. However, this fabric should not be tumble dried.
Finally, the printing technology used on this fabric is sublimation, a process by which a printed image is transferred to a synthetic fabric through heat and pressure. This process allows the printed ink to penetrate the fabric, which offers greater durability and wear resistance without affecting the softness and feel of the fabric.
