The Velvet Corduroy Fabric - Dublin is a corduroy with a composition of 85% polyester, 12% polyamide, and 3% elastane, with a weight of 280 gr/m2 and a width of 150cm. It stands out for its softness to the touch and its glossy visual, making it perfect for decoration, upholstery, and fashion applications. Its printed design is abstract, featuring vivid and contrasting color patches, evoking the technique of artistic painting and a modern, mosaic style. It combines perfectly with solid colors in neutral tones, such as grey, beige, and white, but also allows combinations with other intense colors. Its worth noting that this fabric is printed with the patterned design on one side only using digital textile printing.
Regarding the general characteristics of the fabric, apart from its soft texture and glossy visual, it exhibits high resistance and durability, making it perfect for use in upholstery applications. On the other hand, the printed design presents a complex representation in terms of its technique and style, with an appearance of spontaneous drawing where patches of various colors in intense and vivid shades predominate.
Among the most common applications and uses for this fabric are interior decoration, especially for upholstering sofas, chairs, and armchairs, but it is also a perfect fabric for fashion, with garments such as trousers, jackets, blazers, coats, vests, accessories like bags and backpacks, and overshirts. It is also an ideal option for home textiles for the kitchen and bedroom, such as cushions and baskets.
It is important to consider the care instructions that must be followed for this velvet corduroy. In this case, it is recommended not to bleach the fabric, that the maximum washing temperature be 30ºC, that dry cleaning is not allowed, and that ironing be done at a cold or warm temperature.
Finally, the printing technology used for the manufacturing of this fabric is sublimation on polyester, which allows the printed design to last much longer without wear, fading, or any alteration of the original design. This technique is carried out using high-precision and high-quality digital printers, resulting in a faithful and durable representation of the printed design on the fabric.
