The Ponte Roma Elastic - Lyon fabric is a knit fabric composed of 97% polyester and 3% elastane. It has a weight of 282 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its name comes from its type of weave, which is known as "Ponte Roma Elastic".
The fabric has a soft texture to the touch and features a simply complex printed design. The design is characterized by being abstract, modern in style, black and white, and with a minimalist style. The predominant shapes in the design are circles and polka dots.
The printed design of the Ponte Roma Elastic - Lyon fabric offers a combination of main colors distributed as follows: 83.59% of an unspecified color and 14.9% of another unspecified color. These main colors can be combined with other plain colors such as white, black, gray, or even more striking colors such as red or blue.
It is important to note that the printed design is printed on one side only by digital textile printing. This means that only one side of the fabric has the design printed, while the other side remains plain and unprinted.
Regarding the general characteristics of the fabric, in addition to its soft texture, its elasticity is worth mentioning thanks to the presence of elastane in its composition. This gives it good adaptability to the body and allows for greater comfort in garments made with this fabric.
As for the applications and uses of the Ponte Roma Elastic - Lyon fabric, it is mainly used in fashion for both women and men. It is ideal for knit garments such as tops, t-shirts, pants, dresses, sweaters, as well as for making napkins in the home textile sector. Its use is especially indicated for the winter season due to its weight and composition.
Regarding the care that should be taken for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach it, wash it at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, dry clean it (except with trichloroethylene), iron it at a cool temperature, and avoid tumble drying.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which is based on the transfer of the design through heat and pressure. This process ensures that the design adheres durably to the fabric, without losing quality or color intensity over time.
