The Polyester Lycra fabric - Nairobi is an elastic and resistant fabric, ideal for lingerie, sportswear, and swimwear. It has a composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane, which gives it good elasticity and a chlorine-resistant finish. With a weight of 270 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm, it is a versatile and quality fabric.
The printed design applied to this fabric has an abstract style, with stains reminiscent of an artistic painting. Although simple in its complexity, it stands out for its visual appeal and colorful hues. The main colors of the design are 45.1% and 18.99%, giving it a mix of vibrant tones.
This fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side only. This means that the design is only on one side of the fabric, with no printing on the back. It is important to keep this in mind when using the fabric in sewing or garment projects.
Regarding general characteristics, the Polyester Lycra fabric - Nairobi has a soft and elastic texture, which makes it very comfortable to wear. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UV protection factor of 50+. This makes it an excellent option for swimwear and sportswear.
As for the applications and uses of this fabric, in addition to those suggested above, it can also be used for making tights or leggings, as well as for artistic style costumes. Its versatility and resistance make it suitable for different seasons and situations.
Regarding care, it is important to follow the manufacturers recommendations. It can be washed at a maximum temperature of 40ºC and dry cleaning is allowed, except with trichloroethylene. In addition, it can be ironed at a cold temperature, but tumble drying is not recommended.
Finally, the printing technology used on this fabric is sublimation. This process consists of applying the design using special inks that turn into gas when they come into contact with the fabric. This allows for high definition and durability in the prints, as well as the possibility of printing on elastic fabrics such as Polyester Lycra.
