The Atenas Cotton-Feel Jersey Knit Fabric is a soft and elastic knit fabric, composed of 81% polyester, 15% acrylic, and 4% elastane. With a weight of 239 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm, this fabric is perfect for lingerie, pajamas, sweaters, tops, dresses, cardigans, socks, and scarves, among other uses.
The printed design of this fabric combines abstract elements such as stains, drips, and brushstrokes, creating an artistic and modern aesthetic. With colors mainly in shades of 35.8% and 24.07%, this design can be combined with solid colors such as white, black, gray, and neutral tones to highlight its vibrant palette.
It is important to note that this fabric is printed on one side only using digital textile printing, which means the design is only on one side of the fabric. This provides versatility when making garments and allows for playing with different cuts and design directions.
In terms of general characteristics, the Atenas Cotton-Feel Jersey knit fabric stands out for its soft and elastic texture, which makes it very comfortable to wear. In addition, the printed design adds a touch of color and originality to any garment made with this fabric.
Regarding the applications and uses of the fabric, in addition to those mentioned above, its softness and elasticity make it ideal for knitwear such as cardigans and sweaters. It can also be used in the making of blankets for the living room or bedroom, as well as accessories such as scarves and napkins.
Regarding care, it is recommended not to bleach the fabric and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. It can be dry cleaned, except with trichloroethylene, and should be ironed at a cool temperature. A tumble dryer should not be used to dry this fabric.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is polyester sublimation. This process consists of transferring a solid dye-based ink to the fabric, where it is fixed by heat and pressure. This ensures a durable and high-quality print on the fabric, maintaining the fabrics softness and elasticity.
