Polyester lycra fabric - Nairobi is an elastic fabric with a weight of 270 gr/m2, composed of 82% polyester and 18% elastane. It has a width of 150 cm and is ideal for applications in lingerie, sportswear, swimwear, and fashion in general.
The printed design of this fabric features characteristics such as standard complexity, an artistic and colorful style. Elements that can be appreciated in the design include abstract watercolors, botanical paintings, and floral elements with an abstract touch.
The main colors of the design are 45.34% and 26.3%; however, they can be combined with solid colors such as white, black, navy blue, and pink to create a balanced and harmonious look.
It is important to note that the printed design is on only one side of the fabric and has been made using digital textile printing. This technique ensures high print quality and a durable design on the fabric.
Regarding general characteristics, the polyester lycra fabric - Nairobi has an elastic texture and a chlorine-resistant finish. In addition, it has a very high UV protection factor of 50+, which makes it ideal for swimwear and sportswear that needs to protect the skin from UV rays.
Regarding the uses and applications of this fabric, apart from those mentioned above, it can also be used for making leotards, tights, and sports leggings, thanks to its elasticity and resistance.
Regarding the care of the fabric, it is recommended to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC and avoid the use of bleaches. Dry cleaning can also be done, except with trichloroethylene, and it is recommended to iron at a cool temperature. It should not be tumble dried.
The printing technology used in this fabric is sublimation on polyester. This process involves transferring the design printed on paper through heat and pressure. This ensures a durable and high-quality print on the fabric, without affecting its elasticity or softness.
