The fabric is a Polyester Lycra called Cairo, with a weight of 220 gr/m2 and a composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane. It has a width of 150 cm and it is recommended to care for it following certain instructions, such as not bleaching it, washing it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and ironing it at a cold temperature. It cannot be tumble dried and allows dry cleaning except for trichloroethylene.
The printed design on the fabric is a combination of features and attributes. It is an abstract design in a watercolor and artistic style, using colors such as cotton white, periwinkle purple, and worm pink. The design features abstract shapes, ovals, and circles in different colors and is considered complex and colorful.
Regarding possible plain colors that could combine with this design, one could opt for neutral tones such as white, black, or grey, to further highlight the colors of the printed design. Complementary colors such as light blue or mint green could also be used to create interesting contrasts.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the design on one side only using digital textile printing. This means that the design is only on one side of the fabric.
In terms of general characteristics, the fabric has an elastic, soft, and chlorine-resistant texture. It also has a very high UV protection factor, guaranteeing protection against sun rays.
The Cairo Polyester Lycra fabric has various applications and uses. It can be used in sportswear for women, men, and children, as well as in lingerie such as bodysuits and bras. It is also suitable for knitwear, tops, scrunchies, and both athletic and fashion bikinis. It is a timeless fabric, which means its use is not limited to a specific season.
Regarding the care of the fabric, the previously mentioned instructions must be followed, avoiding bleach or maximum washing temperatures. Likewise, tumble drying is not recommended.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation. This printing technique allows the design to be transferred to the fabric in a durable manner and with vivid colors using heat and pressure. The result is a high-quality print resistant to washing and wear.
