The Polyester Lycra fabric - Cairo is an elastic fabric composed of 90% polyester and 10% elastane, with a weight of 220 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. This fabric has a soft and elastic texture, in addition to being chlorine resistant and having very high UV protection (UPF 50+). Its printed design features an artistic and botanical floral style, with drawn and tricolor elements. The main colors of the design include silver gray, cotton white, and moss green. In addition to these colors, this fabric could combine with solid colors such as black, light pink, or navy blue.
It is important to mention that the design is printed on one side only by digital textile printing, which means that the reverse of the fabric does not have the print. This feature is important to take into account when using the fabric in sewing projects.
Regarding general characteristics, the Polyester Lycra fabric - Cairo stands out for its softness to the touch and for being elastic, which provides comfort and allows a good fit to the body. On the other hand, the printed design adds an artistic and botanical touch to any garment or project in which this fabric is used.
Regarding the applications and uses of this fabric, its use in sportswear for men, women, and children is highlighted, as well as in the manufacture of underwear such as bodysuits and bras. It is also used in knitwear, tops, and accessories such as scrunchies. In the field of swimwear, this fabric can be used for making bikinis and swimsuits.
To keep this fabric in good condition, it is recommended not to bleach it, wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, it can be dry cleaned except with trichloroethylene, iron it at a cool temperature, and do not use a dryer.
The printing technology used in this fabric is sublimation, which is performed on polyester. This technique consists of transferring the design or image through heat, causing the pigments to become gas and penetrate the fabric fibers, resulting in a durable and high-quality print. This printing process allows obtaining intense colors and precise details in the printed design.
