Recycled Lycra fabric is a lycra fabric with a weight of 190 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. It is composed of 85% polyester and 15% elastane. Its name is due to the fact that it is a recycled fabric, which makes it a sustainable option.
The printed design of this fabric presents artistic and botanical characteristics. It is inspired by nature and features pictorial floral motifs and artistic flowers. The main colors of the design are cotton white, dark slate blue, and pale lilac blue.
This fabric is single-sided printed using digital textile printing. This means that the design is on one side of the fabric, not on both.
Regarding general characteristics, the fabric has a soft and elastic texture, which makes it comfortable to wear. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and offers very high UV protection with a factor of 50+.
As for the applications and uses of this fabric, several options can be highlighted. Among them, its use in making scrunchies, being an ideal option for accessories. In addition, thanks to its polyester and elastane composition, it is perfect for sportswear such as bikinis and swimsuits. It can also be used in the manufacture of swimwear.
Regarding care, it is important to take several recommendations into account. The fabric should not be bleached and should be washed at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. The garment is not suitable for dry cleaning and should be ironed at a cool temperature. In addition, it cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which consists of transferring the design ink to the fabric through heat and pressure. This technique allows for vibrant and durable colors on the fabric.
