The Polyester Lycra fabric - Cairo is an elastic fabric with a composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane. It has a weight of 220 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its name suggests that it belongs to the Lycra category, which are fabrics known for their elasticity and adaptability to the body. This particular fabric has a printed design with abstract characteristics and spots that give it a watercolor look. Another outstanding element of its design is the presence of a leopard print, which adds a touch of animal print. Artistic and brilliant elements can also be appreciated in the design, through vibrant and striking colors. The main color of the design is multicolor, which offers a wide range of possibilities to combine with other solid colors.
The fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side using digital textile printing, which means that it is only found on one side of the fabric and not on both. This printing technique guarantees high quality and definition reproduction in the stamped design.
Regarding the general characteristics, the fabric has a soft and elastic texture that makes it comfortable to the touch and easily adapts to movement. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and very high UV protection (UPF 50+), which makes it suitable for swimwear and sportswear, especially for outdoor activities.
Regarding the uses and applications of the fabric, its elasticity and softness make it ideal for sportswear, for both men and women and children. It is also suitable for lingerie, bras, tops, and swimsuits. In addition, accessories such as scrunchies can be created using this fabric. Its versatility also makes it suitable for knitwear and fashion bikinis.
Regarding care, it is recommended not to bleach the fabric and wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. It allows dry cleaning, except with trichloroethylene. It is advisable to iron it at a cold temperature and not tumble dry.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which is performed on polyester. This means that the design is permanently fixed to the fibers of the fabric, guaranteeing high resistance to washing and wear. This technique allows for high-quality reproductions and more vibrant colors compared to other printing methods.
