The Polyester Lycra fabric - Nairobi is an elastic fabric with a composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane. With a weight of 270 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm, this fabric is perfect for sportswear, such as swimsuits, bikinis, leotards, and leggings. It is also used in lingerie and swimwear fashion.
The printed design of this fabric is abstract and has an artistic and modern style. It uses brushstrokes and vibrant colors to create a visually striking image. The main colors of the design are predominant, which adds color and life to the fabric.
This fabric is printed on one side by digital textile printing, which means that only the visible side has the printed design. The other side of the fabric is plain and without design.
Regarding the general characteristics of the fabric, it has a soft and elastic texture, which makes it comfortable to wear. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and offers very high UV protection of 50+.
Regarding plain colors that could combine with this printed design, it is recommended to use solid tones in colors that complement or contrast with the main colors of the design. Some options could be white, navy blue, or bright pink.
Regarding the applications and uses of this fabric, apart from those mentioned above, it can also be used for making underwear, dancewear, and costumes. Its elasticity and durability make it ideal for garments that require movement and flexibility.
Regarding the care of this fabric, it is recommended to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, without using bleach. It can be dry cleaned, except with trichloroethylene. It should be ironed at a cool temperature and cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used in this fabric is sublimation, which allows the printed design to permanently adhere to the fabric. This technique guarantees high definition of colors and long-term durability of the design.
