The base fabric is a fine, water-repellent fabric called "Storm." It is a technical fabric made of 100% polyester with a weight of 70 gr/m2 and a width of 145 cm. Its finish is waterproof, which gives it high water resistance. Regarding its texture, it is thin and smooth to the touch.
The printed design features a wide variety of attributes. It is pictorial and artistic in style, with botanical and colorful elements that give it a vibrant look. Flowers, both abstract and pictorial, as well as plant leaves, predominate. In addition, it includes other multicolored colors in its main palette.
The fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side using digital textile printing. It is important to note that printing is only done on one side of the fabric and not on both sides.
Regarding the general characteristics, both of the fabric and the printed design, we can mention its water resistance thanks to the waterproof finish. In addition, the design presents great complexity and a modern and artistic aesthetic.
Regarding the applications and uses of the fabric, apart from those mentioned above, such as fashion (jackets), home textiles (shower curtains), and sportswear (raincoats and jackets), this type of fabric is also used in the manufacture of backpacks, bags, and other outdoor accessories due to its water resistance.
Regarding the care instructions for this fabric, it is important not to bleach it and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. It cannot be dry cleaned or tumble dried. For ironing, it is recommended to use a cool temperature.
The printing technology used in the manufacture of this fabric is sublimation, specifically for polyester. This technique consists of transferring inks through heat and pressure, which allows for durable and wash-resistant printing.
In summary, the "Storm" base fabric is a fine, water-repellent fabric with a pictorial and botanical printed design. Printing is done on one side using digital textile printing. Its general characteristics include a waterproof finish, a thin and smooth texture to the touch. It is used in various applications such as fashion, home textiles, and sportswear. Care instructions include avoiding bleaching, dry cleaning, and tumble drying, and ironing at a cool temperature. The printing technology used is sublimation.
