Glasgow woolen fabric is a medium-weight fabric with a composition of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane. It has a weight of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The fabric has a soft touch and pleasant texture.
The printed design of this fabric is abstract and features a mix of artistic styles, such as watercolor and painting. It is characterized by its complexity in patterns and shapes, highlighting circles and dots. The main colors of the design are Night Black and Iron Grey, which gives it an elegant and sophisticated look. In addition to these colors, it can be combined with plain tones such as white, beige, or navy blue to highlight the design elements.
It is important to mention that this fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side using digital textile printing. This means that the print is present on only one side of the fabric, which allows for greater definition and detail in the design.
Regarding general characteristics, Glasgow woolen fabric is suitable for various applications and uses. It is commonly used in the making of coats, trench coats, jackets, vests, blazers, and jackets for both women and men. It is also used in home decoration, such as coasters in the dining room and kitchen towels. Its ideal season is winter and also autumn/winter due to its weight and composition.
As for care, it is recommended not to bleach the garment and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. It cannot be dry cleaned and ironing should be done at a warm temperature. It cannot be tumble dried to avoid damage to the fabric.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is polyester sublimation. This involves transferring the design to the fabric using heat and pressure, which ensures durable adhesion and faithful reproduction of the colors and details of the design. This technology allows for greater printing precision and greater resistance to washing and wear.
