The base fabric is a Polyester Lycra called Nairobi, with a weight of 270 gr/m2. It is an elastic and resistant fabric, ideal for lingerie, sportswear, swimwear, tights, and leggings. It features a chlorine-resistant finish and offers high UV protection with a factor of 50+. The fabric has a soft touch and great elasticity.
The printed design features a combination of artistic and decorative elements, with shapes of circles, dots, and stars. The main colors are cotton white, biscuit yellow, and beer yellow. These colors give a bright and nostalgic look to the design, ideal for Christmas or childrens projects. In addition, the design has a simple complexity, making it easy to combine with other elements.
The fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side using digital textile printing. This means that the design is only on the outer side of the fabric and not on the reverse. It is important to consider this characteristic when handling and cutting the fabric to ensure that the design is correctly aligned in the final garment.
Regarding general characteristics, Nairobi Polyester Lycra is elastic and has a chlorine-resistant finish, making it ideal for swimwear and sportswear. In addition, it offers high UV protection with a factor of 50+, making it a safe option to protect the skin from sun rays. The printed design adds an artistic and decorative touch to the fabric, with shapes of circles, dots, and stars that give it a cheerful and striking appearance.
As for the applications and uses of the fabric, in addition to those mentioned above, this type of fabric is commonly used in the manufacture of bodysuits, leotards, and bikinis. Its elasticity and resistance make it perfect for close-fitting garments that require freedom of movement. In addition, its chlorine-resistant finish ensures that the fabric will not be damaged by frequent contact with pool water.
Regarding care, it is advisable not to bleach the fabric and wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. Dry cleaning is allowed, except with trichloroethylene. Ironing should be done at a cool temperature and the fabric should not be tumble dried.
The printing technology used on this fabric is sublimation. This printing process uses special inks that turn into gas upon contact with the fabric, penetrating the fibers and creating a durable and wash-resistant print. Sublimation is a popular technique in sports and fashion textiles, as it allows for vibrant and high-quality designs.
