The Recycled Lycra fabric is a Lycra textile composed of 85% polyester and 15% elastane, with a weight of 190 gr/m2. It has a soft and elastic texture, which gives it a pleasant feel against the skin. Additionally, it features a chlorine-resistant finish and offers very high UV protection (UPF 50+), providing greater protection against solar rays.
The printed design of this fabric presents a combination of attributes that make it unique. It has a pictorial, abstract, and artistic style, with decorative and botanical elements that give it a brilliant touch. The presence of landscapes and trees lends it a natural and relaxing air. The main colors are soft ivory white (59.19%), dark slate blue (24.81%), and cloudy grey (6.91%).
This design can be combined with solid colors such as black, navy blue, light grey, and mint green to create contrasts and highlight the colors of the print.
It is important to note that the fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side only. This means that the print is on one side of the fabric and not on both sides.
Regarding the general characteristics of the fabric and the printed design, it is important to highlight its softness to the touch and its elasticity, making it ideal for garments that require freedom of movement. Furthermore, its chlorine-resistant finish makes it perfect for swimwear.
As for the applications and uses of this fabric, in addition to being used in bikinis and athletic swimsuits, it can also be used in the making of scrunchies and hair ties, as well as in fashion garments such as dresses and blouses. Thanks to its GRS certification and its sustainability as a recycled material, it offers a conscious and responsible option for those seeking to minimize their environmental impact.
Regarding the care instructions for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach it, wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not dry clean, iron at a cool temperature, and avoid tumble drying.
Finally, the printing technology used in the manufacturing of this fabric is sublimation, which is performed on polyester. This process allows for the durable and high-quality transfer of the design, ensuring that colors and details remain vivid even after multiple washes.
