Se trata de un tejido con relieve y al ser impreso presenta fuerza de color en las fibras más externas quedando en su color natural las fibras internas. Puede presentar pequeñas trazas, hilos o borra dada su naturaleza reciclada y cuya aparición, aunque se de en un % bajo de ocasiones, es totalmente arbitraria e inevitable. |
Chanel tweed is a type of tweed fabric made of 100% polyester, with a weight of 420 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its printed design is abstract and pictorial, with decorative and drawn elements that give it an artistic and illustrative style. The main colors of the design are MistyRose pink, mint cream green, and wolf gray. This fabric combines perfectly with solid colors in neutral tones such as white, black, and beige, as well as with more vibrant tones such as blue, pink, or green.
The fabric is printed with the stamped design on one side by digital textile printing, which gives it a high-quality and durable finish. Its texture is rigid to the touch, which gives body and structure to the garments made.
Regarding the general characteristics, both of the fabric and the printed design, we can highlight its versatility and adaptability to different garments and uses. It is ideal for making jackets, blazers, coats, skirts, dresses, blousons, vests, shorts, bow ties, and caps, in both womens and mens fashion. It can also be used in the making of cushions for living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens, as well as in decorative elements for outdoors.
Regarding care, it is recommended not to bleach the fabric and wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. In addition, it can be dry cleaned except with trichloroethylene and should be ironed at a cool temperature. It cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which is performed on polyester. This process consists of transferring the design from paper to fabric using heat and pressure, which guarantees high print quality and excellent color fixation.
