The base fabric for this design is a Broadcloth called Glasgow, composed of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane. Its weight is 380 gr/m2 and it has a width of 150 cm. The fabric has a soft texture and, regarding the printed design, it stands out for its artistic complexity and decorative colorfulness, representing kiwis with shades of Butterfly Blue, Pistachio Green, and other vibrant colors. These colors could be combined with plain fabrics in neutral tones like white, black, or grey to highlight the design.
The fabric is printed with the design on one side using digital textile printing, which ensures high definition and durability in the print. The general characteristics of the fabric include its soft touch and the originality of the design, making it ideal for making fashion garments such as coats, jackets, blazers, as well as home accessories like coasters and kitchen towels.
Regarding the applications and uses of the fabric, in addition to those mentioned above, the Glasgow Broadcloth is also used in the making of altar cloths, thanks to its weight and texture. The care instructions for this fabric are: wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not use bleach, iron at a warm temperature, and do not tumble dry.
Finally, the printing technology used in this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which consists of transferring the ink directly to the fabric through heat, ensuring vibrant colors and high fixation of the design. This technique allows for a faithful reproduction of the colors and details of the print, ensuring a quality finish on the fabric.
