The base fabric, Retro Velvet - Paris, is a velvet fabric with a composition of 93% polyester and 7% elastane. It has a weight of 245 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The printed design on this fabric is pictorial, with an artistic and botanical style, in addition to being bicolor, floral, vintage, and decorative. It features stylized floral elements and leaves, with multicolor as the main colors.
This printed design would pair very well with solid colors in soft tones such as white, beige, or pastel green, to highlight the elegance and beauty of the floral and botanical details. The fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side, which gives it high quality and durability.
In terms of general characteristics, the fabric has a soft texture, an elastic feel, and a visual sheen. Furthermore, it is resistant and easy to handle, making it ideal for a wide variety of applications. Among the applications and uses for this fabric are the making of dresses, blazers, upholstery for sofas and chairs, cushions, bikinis, shirts, skirts, pants, tops, kimonos, curtains, among others.
Regarding care instructions, it is recommended not to bleach, hand wash, and not iron the fabric. Dry cleaning is permitted, except with trichloroethylene, and it cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used on this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which guarantees high-quality and durable printing on the fabric. This technique involves transferring ink to the fabric through a process of heat and pressure, resulting in a crisp and vibrant print on the velvet surface.
