The base fabric, Retro Velvet - Paris, is soft and elastic, with a plain color printed in a Corn Yellow (CMYK: 9 3 50 0) tone that evokes warmth and luminosity. This color combines harmoniously with neutral tones like grey and white, as well as earth tones like brown and beige.
The base fabric is printed with the plain Corn Yellow color on one side using digital textile printing, ensuring accurate and vibrant color reproduction. The soft and shiny texture of the velvet enhances the color tone, creating a striking and elegant visual effect.
The general characteristics of the base fabric include its softness to the touch, its visual sheen, and its elasticity, which guarantee a high level of comfort and versatility in its use. In addition, its weight of 245 gr/m2 and its composition of 93% polyester and 7% elastane provide durability and resistance.
Regarding the applications and uses of the fabric, its versatility for making fashion garments such as blazers, skirts, pants, and bikinis, as well as for interior decoration with cushions, curtains, and upholstery for sofas and chairs, stands out. Its use in lingerie and sportswear is also notable.
It is important to consider the special care required for this fabric, such as hand washing, no bleaching, and dry cleaning allowed except for trichloroethylene. In addition, it cannot be ironed or tumble dried, as it could damage the texture and color of the velvet.
The printing technology used in this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which allows for permanent color fixation in the fabric, guaranteeing high image quality and resistance to fading. This technology is ideal for elastic fabrics like velvet, as it does not alter its texture or elasticity.
