The Polyester Lycra fabric - Nairobi, with a weight of 270 gr/m2, is an exquisite composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane, distinguished by its floral and colorful printed design, creating a vibrant fusion that highlights nature in every petal. This fabric, with its multicolor finish, reflects a fresh and lively aesthetic, ideal for enhancing wardrobe creativity. It is a fabric that, being printed with the patterned design on one side using digital textile printing, offers a unique and detailed appearance, it is essential to note that it is not printed on both sides.
Technically, Polyester Lycra is known for its high elasticity, making it a preferred choice in the manufacture of garments that require both comfort and fit. Its grammage of 270 gr/m2 provides a robust structure that, at the same time, maintains a soft touch. Among the characteristics of the fabric are its chlorine resistance and a very high UV protection factor (UPF 50+), which provides safety in sunny environments, making it the ideal choice for water or outdoor sports activities.
The applications of this fabric are varied and range from lingerie and swimwear, such as swimsuits and bikinis, to sportswear such as leotards and leggings. This versatile use is due to its ability to adapt to different body shapes and activities, providing the wearer with functionality and style. It is also a popular option in the fashion world, as it combines well with plain colors such as black, white, navy blue, and pastels that accentuate the shades of the print.
The care of Polyester Lycra fabric is crucial to maintaining its durability and appearance. It is recommended not to bleach it and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. Garments made with this fabric can be dry cleaned, with the exception of using trichloroethylene. For ironing, it is advisable to use cool temperatures, as excessive heat can damage its elasticity. In addition, it is important to mention that it should not be tumble dried to avoid deformation.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation on polyester, a process that consists of transferring special inks to the fabric using heat, which allows the color to penetrate the polyester fibers. This not only provides vibrant and durable image quality but also ensures that the design remains intact and resistant to wear and fading. This printing method is especially ideal for sports and fashion fabrics where style and functionality are paramount.
