The Satin - Amsterdam fabric is an elegant and soft satin fabric, notable for its shine and smooth texture, enhanced by a vintage 1960s floral print design in multicolor.
This fascinating design not only evokes the aesthetic of a bygone era but also injects a sense of freshness and vibrancy, making it ideal for a variety of fashion and decor applications. The combination of vivid colors allows it to be integrated with solid tones like white, black, or a soft pastel pink, creating sophisticated and balanced contrasts. It is crucial to mention that the fabric is printed with the design on one side using digital textile printing, which ensures vibrant quality on the front, while the back remains the original fabric tone.
In terms of general characteristics, polyester satin is characterized by its weight of 120 gr/m2, which gives it lightness and an appropriate drape, in addition to facilitating its handling and sewing. The glossy surface attractively reflects light, accentuating the aesthetic impact of the floral print. The fabric is basic but stands out for its adaptability to different uses, including fashion for men and women, such as shirts, blouses, dresses, kimonos, pants, jumpsuits, tops, and lingerie. It is also used in creating accessories like scarves, ties, bows, and bow ties. In the realm of decoration, it is used for making cushions, curtains, and table runners, as well as decorative elements like lamp shades, offering a versatility that makes it a popular choice.
Regarding the care of this fabric, it is important to follow certain recommendations to preserve its quality. Bleaching should be avoided, and a maximum washing temperature of 40ºC should be chosen. Although dry cleaning is allowed, the use of trichloroethylene should be avoided. For ironing, a warm temperature is advised, and tumble drying is allowed, though at a low temperature to prevent damage to the fibers.
Finally, the printing technology used for this fabric is sublimation on polyester, a process that involves transferring special inks to the fabric through heat. This method ensures that designs are highly durable, remain vibrant, and do not wear out easily, making the Satin - Amsterdam not only an aesthetic option but also functional and resistant over time.
