The fabric, Punto Roma Elástico - Lyon, is a knit fabric that combines softness and elasticity, featuring an abstract printed design with shapes like smudges and scribbles in multi-colored hues. This vibrant and dynamic design evokes creativity and energy, complemented by a palette that can be effectively combined with solid colors such as black, white, gray, or navy blue, providing an elegant and contemporary contrast. It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the design on one side using digital textile printing, which highlights the vividness of the print on one side, maintaining elegance on the plain reverse.
Punto Roma Elástico - Lyon is characterized by its weight of 282 gr/m2, which gives it a solid texture and a good weight that favors the drape of garments. This material is composed of 97% polyester and 3% elastane, which provides a soft touch and a stretching capacity that comfortably adjusts to the body. In addition, its resistance and durability make it ideal for garments that require movement, which translates into prolonged use and good shape retention. This fabric is not only limited to fashion but can also be used in home decoration, specifically in items such as table runners that bring a modern and fresh air to any environment.
Regarding the applications and uses of the fabric, its versatility allows it to be used in various garments for both women and men. It is ideal for t-shirts, pants, tops, sweaters, dresses, and skirts, adapting to contemporary fashion and offering comfort and style. Its ability to stretch without losing shape is especially beneficial in making garments that require a good fit, such as leggings or fitted skirts, providing comfort without sacrificing the aesthetic shape of the pieces. Additionally, it can also be used in making textile accessories, such as clothespin bags that combine functionality and aesthetics.
The care of the fabric is quite simple, although it requires attention. It should not be bleached, and it is recommended to wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC to preserve the colors and quality of the fabric. In addition, it allows dry cleaning, except for the use of trichloroethylene, which is important for more delicate garments. Ironing should be done at a cool temperature to avoid damage to the elasticity of the fabric, and the use of a tumble dryer is prohibited, which could affect its structure and shape.
Finally, the printing technology used for this fabric is sublimation, a process that allows inks to turn into gas and fuse with the polyester fibers, ensuring that the colors are vibrant and durable. This digital textile printing method is done on one side, maximizing the visual impact of the print and ensuring that the design remains intact over time. Sublimation is especially effective on polyester, making this fabric an ideal choice for modern and colorful garments.
