The Lycra Polyester fabric - Nairobi, weighing 270 gr/m2, is an elastic and chlorine-resistant fabric, featuring an aesthetically captivating design with vintage floral patterns in vibrant multi-color. The print plays with the naturalness and fluidity of flowers, infusing an air of freshness and dynamism. This fabric, characterized by its soft touch, is digitally printed on one side, ensuring a sharp and detailed print, unlike other fabrics that are printed on both sides.
This fabric is not only visually attractive but also possesses technical characteristics that make it ideal for various applications. Its composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane gives it exceptional elasticity, allowing freedom of movement, which makes it a perfect choice for fitted garments. In terms of its applications, it is used in the manufacture of lingerie, bodysuits, and sportswear such as leotards, leggings, and bikinis, in addition to being a popular option in swimwear. Its high chlorine resistance makes it especially suitable for use in swimming pools, making it a versatile option for summer wear. It can also be combined with solid colors such as black, white, navy blue, or emerald green, creating a harmonious effect that enhances the printed design.
Caring for this fabric is essential to maintain its durability and appearance. It is recommended not to bleach the fabric, wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and it can be dry cleaned except for trichloroethylene. It is important to iron at a cold temperature and not tumble dry, which will help preserve both the elasticity and the vibrancy of the print colors.
The printing technology used for this fabric is sublimation, a process that allows ink to be transferred directly to the polyester fibers. During the sublimation process, the inks turn into gas and penetrate the fabric particles, ensuring that the design is an integral part of the fabric, resulting in a vibrant and wear-resistant finish. This method not only produces durable colors but also maintains the softness and flexibility of the material, essential characteristics for comfort in fitted and high-performance clothing.
