Glasgow broadcloth fabric, printed with the Houndstooth design in pastel plum red, cotton white, and tulip pink tones, is a soft-to-the-touch and high-quality fabric. This print is timeless and symmetrical, providing a sense of balance and elegance. It pairs well with solid colors like black and grey, allowing for endless design options. This fabric is printed with sublimation technology on one side, making it an ideal choice for clothing, tablecloths, and home decor accessories.
Regarding its general characteristics, Glasgow broadcloth is a thick and resistant fabric with a composition of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane, making it ideal for warm winter garments such as coats, jackets, and blousons. Additionally, this fabric is suitable for making coasters and tablecloths as it is stain-resistant and does not deform easily.
Concerning its care, it is important to note that this fabric cannot be bleached, can be washed up to 40ºC, and requires gentle ironing. Furthermore, dry cleaning is not recommended, and it should not be tumble dried.
Finally, the printing technology used on this fabric is sublimation, a process that transforms ink into gas to permanently fix it to the fabric. This allows the ink to penetrate deeply into the fiber, resulting in a sharper and more durable image compared to other printing methods.
