The base fabric is Polyester Lycra - Cairo of 220 gr/m2, composed of 90% polyester and 10% elastane. The solid printed color is a combination of bluish moss green, with values of 60 for Cyan ink, 38 for Magenta ink, 42 for Yellow ink, and 21 for Black ink in CMYK. This color conveys a natural and organic sensation, evoking a subtropical forest. It pairs perfectly with neutral colors like black, white, or gray, as well as with other shades of greens and light blues.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means the color is only on one surface of the fabric and does not penetrate the structure. The general characteristics of this fabric are its elastic and soft texture to the touch, its chlorine resistance, and its very high UV protection of 50+, making it ideal for water sports and swimwear.
Among the applications and uses of this fabric are the making of sports garments for women, men, and children, lingerie such as bodysuits and bras/bralettes, knitwear such as tops, and also scrunchies. Additionally, it is perfect for swimsuits and bikinis as it is chlorine resistant and has UV protection.
Regarding care, it is important to note that it should not be bleached, it should be washed at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and it allows dry cleaning except for trichloroethylene. Ironing should be done at a cool temperature, and it cannot be tumble dried.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation on polyester. This process consists of printing the image on transfer paper using special inks and then transferring it to the fabric through high temperatures and pressures that allow the inks to permanently fix onto the fabric surface, thus creating a clear and vibrant image. This technology is ideal for achieving a uniform color on the fabric surface and is frequently used in the manufacturing of sportswear and swimwear.
