The base fabric is a Polyester Lycra - Cairo 220 gr/m2, composed of 90% polyester and 10% elastane, with a width of 150 cm and in a plain color printed in blue Koi. This color has a CMYK of 63 32 18 3, with cyan being predominant, followed by magenta and yellow, with a low percentage of black. It is a color that evokes the calm and serenity of moving water, combining perfectly with light tones, whites and neutrals for a fresh and summery look.
The fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means that the ink penetrates the fabric fibers and is fixed with heat for a durable and high-quality result. The general characteristics of the base fabric are its soft and elastic touch and its ability to resist chlorine and offer UV protection, with a very high protection factor of 50+. That is why this fabric is perfect for sportswear, lingerie, fashion, swimwear and other accessories such as Scrunchies.
Regarding specific applications, it should be noted that the fabric adapts perfectly to the body, making it widely used for sportswear that needs to adjust to the body to provide greater comfort and convenience during physical activity. In addition, thanks to its water resistance and chlorine resistance, it is widely used in swimwear for the beach and/or pool, as its durability is greater than other fabrics.
As for the care we must take into account, it is important to note that the maximum washing temperature is 40ºC, that it can be dry cleaned except for trichloroethylene and that it cannot be tumble dried. On the other hand, it is not advisable to bleach and it is recommended to iron at a cool temperature to avoid damage to the fibers.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which consists of applying ink on special paper and transferring that ink to the fabric with heat, producing a high-quality and durable print. This process does not dye the fabric, but prints on it, so the color will only be on one side of the fabric.
