This piece of fabric is a Polyester Lycra, specifically the Cairo 220 gr/m2. In terms of color, it is a Brown called Blood Night, whose CMYK is 36 73 52 48. This color is a dark and dramatic tone that, in its symbolism, evokes a sense of intrigue and mystery. Technically, it has a composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane, which allows it to be elastic to the touch, soft, and chlorine-resistant, in addition to having a very high UV protection factor of 50+. It is important to note that this fabric is digitally printed with the plain color on one side only. In terms of how it combines, Blood Night brown can be used in combination with warmer tones such as bone or peach to give it a vibrant yet neutral touch.
In general terms, this Polyester Lycra is an elastic fabric that adapts well to the body and is commonly used in sportswear, lingerie, swimwear, and general fashion. Its specific characteristics include a soft and elastic texture to the touch, which allows it to adapt to the wearers body and fit correctly. Additionally, its chlorine resistance makes it ideal for use in swimsuits, and the UV protection factor makes it perfect for outdoor sportswear.
The applications and uses of this fabric are many and diverse, as mentioned above. However, it is important to highlight that, thanks to its elasticity and its ability to adapt to the body, it is an ideal fabric for making sportswear, whether for women, men, or children. In addition, for lingerie, it is perfect for making bras or bralettes, as its softness will ensure it feels comfortable and does not irritate the skin. As for its use in general fashion, it is ideal for knitwear and tops, as well as for making beautiful scrunchies to complement your outfit. Finally, its use in swimwear will allow for a snug and comfortable swimsuit for a day at the beach.
It is important to consider the necessary care to keep this fabric in optimal conditions. Bleaching is not recommended, nor should it be tumble dried. The maximum ironing temperature is 40°C, and to keep the fabric in perfect condition, dry cleaning is recommended, except for trichloroethylene.
Finally, the printing technology used on this fabric is sublimation, where the design is transferred from paper to fabric using heat and pressure. This allows for a sharp, high-quality image that integrates into the fabric and conforms to it.
