The Polyester Lycra - Nairobi of 270 gr/m2 is an elastic and resistant fabric, composed of 82% polyester and 18% elastane, with a weight of 270 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid printed color is a combination of gray and taupe with a CMYK ink content of 62 48 63 47. This secondary color symbolizes elegance and sophistication, while technically offering great durability and chlorine resistance and a very high UV protection factor of 50+. It combines well with light and neutral tones to highlight its subtle hue.
The fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means that the base fabric is not dyed, but printed on one side. This printing technique provides greater precision in designs and colors, maintaining the softness and elasticity of the base fabric.
The general characteristics of the fabric include its soft and elastic texture, with chlorine-resistant finishes and very high UV protection. Polyester Lycra - Nairobi of 270 gr/m2 is suitable for a wide range of applications and uses, such as lingerie, sportswear, swimwear, leggings, leotards, and fashion. Its resistance and elasticity make it ideal for form-fitting garments and for fabrics that need to maintain their shape after multiple washes.
Regarding care, this fabric should not be bleached and it is recommended to wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. It can be dry cleaned, except with trichloroethylene, ironed at a low temperature, and not tumble dried.
The printing technology used for this fabric is sublimation, which is used on polyester materials to create high-quality and durable designs. The sublimation process involves transferring a digital print through a thermal process that allows the ink to turn into gas and penetrate the surface of the fabric. This results in a vivid and long-lasting image that will not fade or crack over time.
