The base fabric, Polyester Lycra - Nairobi of 270 gr/m2, is a lycra type and is composed of 82% polyester and 18% elastane. Its grammage is 270 gr/m2 and it has a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed on this fabric is iris purple, with a content of 82% cyan ink, 100% magenta ink, 19% yellow ink, and 7% black ink, represented by CMYK: 82 100 19 7.
This secondary color is a mix of purple and blue, creating a cool tone that can be seen as mysterious and enigmatic. It is an appropriate color to highlight individuality and originality, and it combines perfectly with lighter shades such as pink, yellow, and gray.
The base fabric is printed with the solid color on one side by digital textile printing. It is important to note that it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side, which means that the color may fade or wear out over time and use.
The general characteristics of the base fabric are its elastic texture and its chlorine-resistant finish. In addition, it has a very high UV protection factor of 50+, which makes it suitable for swimwear or sportswear that requires sun exposure.
Among the applications and uses of this fabric are lingerie, swimwear, leggings, leotards, and bikinis, for men, women, and children alike. This type of fabric is timeless, which means it can be used in any season of the year.
It is important to consider the care instructions for this fabric. It is recommended not to bleach it, wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not tumble dry, and iron it at a cool temperature. In addition, it should be avoided to clean it with trichloroethylene and dry cleaning is recommended.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which allows the color to be printed into the fiber of the base fabric, instead of simply being deposited on the surface. This guarantees excellent print quality and greater color durability.
