The base fabric is a Polyester Lycra known as Nairobi, with a composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane, providing great elasticity and flexibility. The solid color printed is a dark purple, which is composed of four sublimated inks: Cyan (77), Magenta (100), Yellow (35), and Black (44), achieving a CMYK result of 77 100 35 44. This color is very elegant and sophisticated, and combines well with other colors such as white, black, silver, and gold.
It is important to note that this fabric is printed with the solid color on one side by digital textile printing, being important to consider that it is not a dyed fabric, but printed on one side. The general characteristics of the base fabric are its texture, feel, and elasticity, with a chlorine-resistant finish and very high UV protection 50+. Polyester Lycra is known for its great resistance and durability in sports uses, but it is also very suitable for lingerie, swimwear, leotards, and leggings. Its use is timeless, although it is usually used mostly in summer.
Regarding the care that should be taken into account for this fabric, it is important not to bleach, wash it with a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and dry cleaning is allowed except for trichloroethylene. It is recommended to iron it at a cool temperature and it cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology with which this fabric is manufactured is polyester sublimation, which consists of printing the design on special paper with high-quality sublimation inks and then transferring the design to the fabric with the help of heat and pressure. This process allows obtaining a high-quality result, with excellent definition in the design and great durability and resistance to washing and sunlight. In short, the Nairobi Polyester Lycra printed with the dark purple solid color is a high-quality, resistant, and sophisticated fabric, very suitable for applications in lingerie, swimwear, and sportswear, with proper care to guarantee its durability over time.
