Description

The base fabric is a polyester Lycra called Nairobi, with a weight of 270 gr/m2, composed of 82% polyester and 18% elastane, and has a width of 150 cm. The solid printed color is a venom green, which is composed of a mixture of cyan ink (53), magenta ink (32), yellow ink (91), and black ink (18) with a CMYK of 53 32 91 18. This secondary color is a representation of the venom of some snake species, lending a certain intrigue and elegance to its use. It combines especially well with neutral tones (black, gray, white) or natural colors such as brown or beige.

It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side by digital textile printing; that is, the image is printed directly onto the surface of the Lycra; it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. Regarding the general characteristics of the base fabric, we can highlight its elastic texture and feel, in addition to being chlorine resistant and having a very high UV protection factor of 50+.

The applications and uses of this type of fabric are varied, such as the production of lingerie, bodysuits, swimsuits, bikinis, leotards, leggings, and especially in swimwear. Thanks to its elasticity, comfort, and UV protection, it adapts perfectly to sportswear and swimwear.

Regarding the care instructions for Nairobi, it is not recommended to bleach the garment, and it should be washed at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. It allows dry cleaning except with trichloroethylene, as well as ironing at a cool temperature and not tumble drying.

Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this type of fabric is sublimation, which allows great fidelity and richness of color in the image printed on the fabric. Through the application of heat, the ink turns into vapor and adheres to the surface of the Lycra, creating a durable and high-quality image.
