The base fabric, Polyester Lycra - Nairobi of 270 gr/m2, has a plain printed color called Seafoam Green, with CMYK ink values of 71 15 47 2. This color has fresh and soft tones, evoking tranquility and calm. Symbolically, green represents nature and renewal. Technically, this fabric is an elastic and chlorine-resistant lycra, with very high UV protection 50+. The color is printed on one side by digital textile printing. This color combines well with pastel shades such as light pink, soft yellow, and sky blue.
The general characteristics of the base fabric are its soft and elastic texture, making it comfortable to wear. In turn, the chlorine-resistant finish makes it ideal for use in swimwear, while its UV protection makes it suitable for outdoor sportswear. Additionally, lycra conforms to the body, making it ideal for intimate apparel and party wear. The base fabric is commonly used to manufacture lingerie, swimsuits, bikinis, leggings, and swimwear.
The care instructions for maintaining this fabric are to wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, and iron at a cool temperature. Dry cleaning is allowed, except with trichloroethylene.
The fabric is manufactured using sublimation technology (polyester), which involves printing the design directly onto the fabric using special inks. These inks are subjected to high temperatures and pressure, allowing them to permeate the fibers of the fabric. The result is a high-quality image with a durable finish resistant to fading from sun and chlorine.
