The base fabric is a Polyester Lycra called Nairobi, weighing 270 gr/m2, with a composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane, which gives it an elastic texture and a soft touch. The printed color is an intense lapis lazuli blue, composed of 100% cyan ink, 82% magenta ink, 21% yellow ink, and 4% black ink. This secondary color symbolizes trust, tranquility, and sincerity, and pairs perfectly with neutral tones like white and gray, as well as complementary colors like orange and green.
It is important to note that the fabric is digitally printed with the solid color on one side only, meaning it is not a dyed fabric but rather printed on one side. The base fabric has general characteristics such as a chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UV protection factor 50+, making it ideal for use in swimwear, sportswear, and fashion garments in general. Furthermore, its texture and elasticity allow the material to easily adapt to the body, making it perfect for manufacturing fitted garments.
Among the applications and uses of the base fabric are lingerie, bodysuits, swimwear such as bikinis and swimsuits, as well as sportswear like leotards and leggings. Its season is timeless, making it a viable option for any time of the year.
For the care of this fabric, it is recommended to avoid bleaching and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40°C. It is suitable for dry cleaning, unless trichloroethylene is used, and should be ironed at a cool temperature. Finally, it cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester), a technique that allows for high-quality printing with intense colors and details on synthetic materials like polyester. Sublimation involves the continuous transfer of the printed design onto the fabric, which is fixed through heat and humidity. This technology ensures a durable finish resistant to fading and wear from use and washing.
