Recycled Lycra is an elastic fabric made from 85% polyester and 15% elastane. Its solid printed color is a medium violet-red pink hue, with a CMYK content of 33 100 2 1. This secondary color could symbolize strength and courage, combined with a softer tone that reflects femininity. Its a color that pairs particularly well with neutral tones like gray and white, as well as bolder shades such as fuchsia or lilac.
Its important to note that the fabric is printed on one side only using digital textile printing, meaning the printed color is only on one side of the fabric, and not throughout the weave. The fabrics texture is soft and elastic, making it perfect for form-fitting and athletic apparel. Additionally, it features a chlorine-resistant finish and very high UV protection of 50+ UPF, making it ideal for swimwear and activewear.
The applications and uses of Recycled Lycra are very diverse, as its elasticity and resistance make it perfect for sportswear, swimwear, and intimate apparel. It is also used in the manufacture of accessories such as hair ties and scrunchies. Its season is timeless, making it suitable for any time of year. Furthermore, it boasts GRS certification and is a sustainable option due to being recycled.
Proper care for the fabric is important to ensure its durability, so it is recommended to wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC without using bleach or dry cleaning. Additionally, it should be ironed at a cool temperature and cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which involves printing the desired design on transfer paper and applying heat and pressure to the fabric, causing the ink to turn into gas and penetrate the fabric fibers to form the design. This printing process ensures high quality and durability of the printed design.
