The base fabric for this material is Recycled Lycra, composed of 85% polyester and 15% elastane, with a weight of 190 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed on this fabric is a donut pink with a CMYK of 9 28 12 0, meaning it is mostly composed of magenta inks and a small amount of cyan and yellow. This solid color perfectly complements earthy and woody tones, light browns, and beige.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means it is a printing technique through which high-definition photolithographic images are directly printed onto the fabric. This technique allows designs to be more precise and vibrant, and to remain on the fabric without losing quality for a long time.
Regarding the characteristics of the base fabric, we can highlight its soft and elastic texture, which makes it perfect for garments that require mobility, such as sportswear, swimsuits, and bikinis. Additionally, it features a chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UV protection factor of 50+, making it a durable and safe option for outdoor use in summer.
As for its applications and uses, in addition to those already indicated in the given description, Recycled Lycra can be used in fashion garments such as leggings, tops, and fitted dresses, thanks to its elasticity and body-hugging fit. It is also used in the manufacture of hair accessories such as scrunchies and hair ties.
It is important to follow proper care instructions to maintain the appearance and quality of the fabric, which include avoiding bleach, washing in warm water at no more than 40°C, not ironing at high temperatures, and avoiding the use of a tumble dryer.
Finally, the printing technology used in this fabric is polyester sublimation, which allows colors to integrate permanently into the fabric fibers, making the designs durable and resistant.
