The Crepe de Punto Elástico - Riga base fabric, composed of 94% polyester and 6% elastane, boasts a weight of 180 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. As for the color, its a lavender purple, with a digital textile printing formula indicating 31 parts cyan ink, 33 magenta, 22 yellow, and 4 black. This secondary color is symbolically associated with harmony, stability, and femininity. Technically, the base fabric is soft, elastic, and granular to the touch. This secondary color pairs exceptionally well with shades of gray and pink, as well as the range of blue-greens. We must emphasize that the fabric is printed on one side only and is not dyed, but rather digitally printed.
Overall, the base fabric presents an elastic and granular texture and feel. Regarding the printed solid color, its an elegant and feminine tone, with the particularity of being printed using sublimation technology. As for the applications and uses of the fabric, we can highlight its suitability for both womens and mens apparel, from dresses and jumpsuits to tops, skirts, and trousers. It is also recommended for knitwear, such as cardigans or lightweight jackets. Its elastic capacity and soft texture make it an ideal choice for fashion.
To maintain the quality of the fabric, bleaching should be avoided, and it should not be washed at temperatures exceeding 40ºC. Dry cleaning is permitted, except with trichloroethylene. For ironing, a low temperature is recommended, and if using a tumble dryer, a reduced temperature should be employed. Adhering to these instructions will ensure greater durability and quality of the fabric.
Finally, its worth noting that the base fabric is printed using sublimation technology. This technique involves applying ink directly onto the fabric, allowing for high-resolution definition and a wide range of vibrant colors. The ink transforms into gas upon contact with the fabric and is permanently fixed due to high temperature and pressure.
