The Riga Elastic Knit Crepe is a fabric composed of 94% polyester and 6% elastane, with a weight of 180 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The plain color printed on this fabric is Sun Yellow, with a CMYK of 6 11 58 0. This color symbolizes solar radiation and energy, and combines well with green and orange tones.
It should be noted that the fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means that it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. As for its characteristics, the elastic knit crepe is elastic and granulated to the touch. In addition, its texture makes it ideal for fitted and/or structured garments.
This type of fabric can be used in a wide variety of garments, for both men and women. Among the most common applications and uses are dresses, jumpsuits, t-shirts, tops, skirts, pants, cardigans, and knitwear. Its season is timeless, which means it can be used at any time of the year.
It is important to note that elastic knit crepe requires a series of specific cares to maintain its characteristics and properties. It should not be bleached, and dry cleaning is allowed except with trichloroethylene. It can also be ironed at a low temperature and tumble dried, avoiding high temperatures.
Finally, the base fabric is printed using sublimation technology. Sublimation is a digital printing process in which the ink changes from a solid to a gaseous state, penetrating the fibers of the fabric and creating a durable image resistant to washing and fading. This process is ideal for synthetic fabrics, such as elastic knit crepe.
