The base fabric, Cotton-Touch Jersey Knit - Atenas, has a composition of 81% polyester, 15% acrylic, and 4% elastane, with a weight of 239 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its solid printed color, Sandy Brown, is composed of CMYK 43 37 47 20. This color has an earthy and warm hue that evokes nature and the earth. Sandy Brown is a secondary color obtained from the mixture of primary colors, in this case, cyan, magenta, and yellow. It combines wonderfully with earthy tones, creams, and fresh greens.
This fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. The general characteristics of the base fabric and the solid color are softness and elasticity. The fabric is perfect for lingerie, knitwear, tops, dresses, cardigans, scarves, socks, and blankets. The Sandy Brown color is ideal for winter or autumn/winter garments, and its soft tone is perfect for combining with other garments of more intense colors.
Among its applications and uses, the Cotton-Touch Jersey Knit - Atenas adapts to different pieces. It is a suitable fabric for underwear; a soft jersey for men and women; tops; knitwear and dresses; a warm and cozy cardigan; options for home wear, such as blankets, tablecloths, and napkins. It is even possible to use this fabric for accessories such as scarves, socks, and shawls.
The fabric should be washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C, not bleached, allowed dry cleaning except with trichloroethylene, ironed at a cool temperature, and not tumble dried. It should be noted that, although the garment is printed with a digital textile printer, the temperature used during ironing should not be too high to prevent the printed color from fading.
This fabric is manufactured using sublimation printing technology. This printing technique involves a heat transfer of the printing ink from the printer to the base fabric through a specialized transfer paper. The transfer paper is placed in contact with the base fabric, and then heat is applied to the printing area, causing the printing ink to sublimate into the fabric fibers. Sublimation printing produces a high-quality result with bright and long-lasting colors.
